Prevention is the key to success, a healthy lifestyle, and longevity. Many scientist have discovered that tastes, eating habits, and attitudes regarding diet are developed at childhood making it a contributive factor to obesity. 


Here are ways you can prevent obesity upon yourselves and others:



  1. Following a diet and exercise program that motivates and promotes a balanced, nutritious diet and encourages physical activity for all.
  2. Engaging in daily exercise and physical activity.
  •  It is recommended that children and teenagers perform at least 60 minutes of exercise and physical activity daily. For adults, at least 30 minutes, three times a day would be sufficient.
3. Prevent unhealthy weight gain.

4. The partake of communities in modifications to support and spread awareness regarding healthy lifestyles and obesity prevention.
  •  For instance, communities can contribute to this great cause by motivating people to increase their physical activity by making cities and suburbs walkable. This is accomplished by building parks, playgrounds, more sidewalks, and bicycle paths. Schools can also improve their nutrition in food and beverages high in calories, fat, sugar, and cholesterol as well as establish nutrition education classes, and offer physical education and personal fitness.
